Personal data we process
Villa Ayala processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you have provided these data to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:
- First and last name
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Address details
- Telephone number
- Email address
- Bank account number
- Passport number if that is required for legal rental purposes
Special and/or sensitive personal data we process
Villa Ayala processes the following special and/or sensitive personal data:
Data of persons under the age of 18. Our website does not intend to collect data on visitors under the age of 18, unless the person under 18 is one of the guests during the rental period and is accompanied by parents or a guardian, or – if not – has parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify the age of website visitors. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children’s online activities to prevent data being collected about minors without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal data of a minor without such consent, please contact us at info@villa-ayala.com and we will delete this information.
Purposes and legal basis for processing personal data
Villa Ayala processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- To handle your reservation request, booking, and payment;
- To be able to call or email you if this is necessary to provide our services;
- To send you a message not more than once a year for promotional purposes
How long we retain personal data
Villa Ayala does not retain your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data are collected. We will delete your data within one week after the rental period has ended, unless there is a dispute arising from the rental agreement. In such a case, we will delete your data once the dispute is resolved or no longer pursued, and in any event no later than six months thereafter.
Sharing personal data with third parties
Villa Ayala will only share your personal data with third parties if this is necessary for the performance of our agreement or to comply with a legal obligation. For the performance of the agreement, this only concerns providing your name and phone number to the contact person responsible for check-in and check-out. If data sharing is required by law, the type of data we must disclose will depend on the nature of the obligation.
Access, correction, or deletion of data
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
You also have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability. If you wish to exercise your right to object and/or right to data portability, or if you have other questions or comments about the processing of your data, please send a request to info@villa-ayala.com. To ensure that the request for access was made by you, we may ask you to identify yourself. Villa Ayala will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but in any case within four weeks.
How we secure personal data
Villa Ayala takes the protection of your data seriously and implements appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized alteration. If you believe that your data is not properly secured or if there are indications of misuse, please contact us at info@villa-ayala.com.
